University Campus Expansion Project

As a finalist in the CBDX: Cities for All 2021 International Design Ideas Competition organized by the University of Calgary’s School of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape (SAPL), I led the design development and computational workflow of my project. The competition challenged participants to envision inclusive and equitable urban environments in response to systemic inequities and contemporary global challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change. My entry explored the dual needs of mobility and community for young urban professionals, proposing a mobile housing system with rotating multifunctional panels and a split core for flexible urban living. The project integrates social, ecological, and spatial strategies to create adaptable urban spaces that support both individual and collective well-being.

Second Annual Resarch Coloqium , “The Method and the Unexpected” Sala Capitular, Segovia Role: Researcher / Designer

This project investigates overlooked urban waste streams, specifically discarded wooden fruit crates and recycled plastics, to develop a modular, fully recyclable architectural system. Over 20 crate types were catalogued for dimensions, materials, and structural behavior, leading to a design for mobile components suitable for temporary public installations or emergency micro-shelters. The work demonstrates innovative, sustainable design thinking, rigorous research methodology, and the ability to translate urban challenges into practical architectural solutions. My Contribution: Developed and curated the research project. Delivered live talk explaining methodology, findings, and design implications.Produced visual and written materials showcased in the colloqium. Highlighted by senior academic mentors as a leading contributor to computational design research.
